The Rogers Park Metra Community Garden Metra Sign - Installation June, 2009

In late 2007, the RPGG spoke with Brian White of Lakeside CDC and the Greenleaf neighbors about renovating the embankment at the Rogers Park
Metra stop at Greenleaf and Ravenswood. A committee of designers (some experienced, some not) went to work, designing the space and selecting
plants. A design was presented to neighbors in April 2008. A large number of neighbors, volunteers, RPGG members, and others came out on a lovely
weekend in May 2008 to haul, dig, plant, and water.

As an unrepenting killer of plants, I was not in attendance.

I did, however, want to do my part and contribute to the neighborhood garden and I felt this was the safest way (with regard to the plants) to do so!
